It really is past the time of discussing Health Care “reform” on this blog. The problem has been that the spin coming out of the OMB is so absurd that a “settling” of the dust of insanity needed to take place before articulating the true lunacy of the Obama administration’s approach.
The biggest danger is this behaviorist geek Orszag, spouting off the efficiencies of “comparative effectiveness research”. You immediately know they’re going to put him in charge, since he’s so fully focused on the bean counter details of health care rationing that he’s oblivious to the problem of administrative COST ABUSES.
Only in America folks–we are facing a health care crisis, but rest assured that “Health Care Prevention for Profit” will go about unhindered.
It is estimated that ”administrative costs” account for about 33% of America’s overall Health Care cost today, but in reality what we really have is a system whereby 33% of Health Care costs are actually attributable to the practice of Health Care Prevention. Like I said, the insanity is so prevailing that the obvious course of action–dismantling the profit-centered, predatory, bank-owned, self-serving HMO’s and Insurers is ”politically impossible” to discuss.
There have been so many fantastic stories from HMO whistle blowers about ”medical neglect for profit” that it does not bear repeating them all here. Most everyone knows about the legacy of the Kaiser Permanente train wreck which Nixon and Ehrlichman introduced into America’s Health Care system in 1972, but the HMO lobby has grown so powerful that, like the economic royalists who own them, they are exempted from any form of reform. Therefore, what we are going to “Reform” in “Health Care” is the cost of the actual care, not the practices of claim denial, delayed treatment, medical malfeasance and other forms of medical neglect for profit.
With the burden of common sense thus removed, the path is now well laid out for the Fascists to move forward with a sort of “soft genocide” agenda, modeled after the Malthusian “finite sustainability” models that seem to occupy the small minds of those who fear and protect against the decline they precipitated in the wake of their crumbling over-leveraged paper world.
So just as the administration rewarded underwriting fraud with your tax dollars, they will now reward the Health Care predators by modeling their cost cutting methods on the HMO’s themselves, citing comparative effectiveness efficiencies as the key to savings – savings which will result in lower quality, rationed health care, accompanied now by the “hard choices” of patient assisted suicide, infanticide and continued erosion of the Hill-Burton principle of true universal Health Care. Forget about any philosphical discussion regarding “pro-choice” vs. “pro-life” for this has been reduced now to an economic choice–it is less costly to abort a fetus than to bring it to term, and this is the prevailing rationale in the decision.
And here again, our “Candidate for Change” instead of actually reforming Health Care has bent over backwards to the economic powers of fascism, just as he did in failing to reform the abuses of Wall Street.
So … as long as we have accepted that our morality crisis is here to stay, and we’re NOT going to prosecute fraud like we did in the S&L crisis, nor to punish the regulatory conspirators and lawbreakers like Summers, Geithner and Paulson, we’d might as well just continue rewarding failure in Health Care–in fact even promoting it as public policy in much the same way as we promote fraud in Geithner’s deplorable PPIP swindle.
The only thing left to do now for our behaviorists on Capital Hill is to train us to believe that this “shit tastes good” while forcing us to eat it. That is the remaining challenge for Summers and Orszag. If they can program the Sheople to actually favor the taste of shit, then quite a few of us useless eaters will just die off happy with a mouthful of yummy, government approved e-coli, and the economic power freaks can hoard the remaining dwindling resources, like quality healthcare, for themselves … for as long as they last.
How long will the people stand for their government telling them to “eat shit and die”? I suppose that’s the question we need to ask ourselves.

My comment is not for this particular post. It’s the way I view not only this post but your entire site. KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK!!! Our tax dollars has already made these white collar criminals too wealthy already!
But why should they think any different? We’ve bailed out these people several times over the past century. They knew the taxpayers money would come to the rescue when they entered their ‘den of theives’.
