More and more, as the individuals who are tasked with revealing the corruption and fraud pursue the discovery process, bits and pieces of truth seep through.
I’m not sure what percent of government is totally corrupt, partially corrupt, or to what degree captive to the fascist regime of the economic royalists, but Kudos to the small percentage represented by Elizabeth Warren and Neil Barofsky. These are patriotic Americans with ethical standards, and their silence simply may not be for sale:
Reporting from Washington and Los Angeles — In the first major disclosure of corruption in the $750-billion financial bailout program, federal investigators said Monday they have opened 20 criminal probes into possible securities fraud, tax violations, insider trading and other crimes.
The cases represent only the first wave of investigations, and the total fraud could ultimately reach into the tens of billions of dollars, according to Neil Barofsky, the special inspector general overseeing the bailout program.
Barofsky said the complex nature of the bailout program makes it “inherently vulnerable to fraud, waste and abuse, including significant issues relating to conflicts of interest facing fund managers, collusion between participants, and vulnerabilities to money laundering.”
You’ll want to read the originator’s full article as it contains pretty good info from reliable sources, including the inherant criminal element of Geithner’s latest bailout swindle.
Meanwhile, as the economy continues to collapse, despite all spin to the contrary (cooked up by Government Wall-Streeters like Geithner and Summers) the onrushing “death by taxation” is beginning to take shape. With tax revenues collapsing correspondingly to the derivatives bubble, governments bond out to Wall Street, of course.

My comment is not for this particular post. It’s the way I view not only this post but your entire site. KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK!!! Our tax dollars has already made these white collar criminals too wealthy already!
But why should they think any different? We’ve bailed out these people several times over the past century. They knew the taxpayers money would come to the rescue when they entered their ‘den of theives’.
